Seo Hyun-jin Apologizes to BTS’s Fandom, Gong Yoo Offers Comfort “Sorry, ARMY”
On November 6, the YouTube channel “Management Soop” released a video featuring Seo Hyun-jin and Gong Yoo.
In the video, Seo Hyun-jin and Gong Yoo took on a music quiz challenge. The rules required them to listen to three seconds of a song and identify either the artist or the song title.
The two successfully guessed songs by TVXQ, BIGBANG and Super Junior in order. However, Seo Hyun-jin became flustered on what could be the final question, exclaiming, “How can you know after listening to this?”
When the production team offered a major hint “If you don’t know them, it’s a little…”, Gong Yoo immediately guessed, “BTS.” As it became Seo Hyun-jin’s turn to name the song, she protested, “For BTS, things are different. No, you can’t put me in this trouble.”
Unable to answer correctly, Seo Hyun-jin ultimately bowed and said, “I’m sorry, ARMY.” She explained “I know a lot of their songs. I listened to them a lot”, prompting laughter.
Later, Seo Hyun-jin admitted, “I couldn’t guess BTS’s song correctly. It keeps making me feel uncomfortable.” Gong Yoo reassured her, “BTS won’t watch this. And BTS might not know us.”
